HDC and the Dreamland

Postby Miss Conduct on Sun Jul 05, 2009 9:35 am

Driving through town this weekend I found myself wondering how the HDC could let the Dreamland lot be left in it's current condition. The chainlink fence is an eyesore as are the structures scattered around the lot. When other projects were undertaken in the downtown area they were screened with wooden fencing more befitting our island. Bricks and parks have been under heavy scrutiny yet nothing has been said about the Oak Street eyesore.

Is it the Rogeveen connection? Maybe Dirk should step back from HDC decisions when there is a conflict of interest. Maybe Patty should step down from working with the Dreamland? Lets keep personal connections out of politics for the good of the community.

Wake Up Nantucket!

The good old days of Nantucket are gone. Long long long gone.
I agree. The Dreamland lot looks like hell.
